Watched Stone Reader last night and reserved Dow Mossman's reissued novel, The Stones of Summer, from the library this morning. Am looking for comments from people who've read the book.
I haven't read the book (I'm a little bit afraid to, actually. Afraid that it will not live up to expectations--but then I wonder if that isn't sort of the point of the whole movie--the subjectivity of taste) but, boy, did I LOVE this movie.
I also loved the movie, but it's more about the filmmaker, really, than it was about either Mossman or his book. I have it, but I'm hesitant to take it on. I understand he's working on a new book?
